Clarksville man overturns vehicle in Hopkinsville

HOPKINSVILLE, KY – According to a preliminary investigation from the Kentucky State Police (KSP), Eric Patterson, 30, of Clarksville, TN was involved in a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on the on-ramp from Fort Campbell Boulevard to the Pennyrile Parkway, at 7:13 a.m. Friday, March 7.

Patterson was driving a 2002 GMC Envoy as he exited Fort Campbell Boulevard onto the Pennyrile Parkway northbound. As he was traveling on the exit ramp, his vehicle struck an icy spot. Mr. Patterson lost control of his vehicle, and it went off the road and down an embankment. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its passenger side.

Mr. Patterson was transported via ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.

He was wearing a seatbelt. There were no passengers involved.

Trooper Jim McArthur investigated the collision.

The Hopkinsville Police Department, the Hopkinsville Fire Department, and Hopkinsville/Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
