Clarksville, Tenn. – Premier Medical Group broke ground Wednesday, August 20 for a new medical facility that in the future will combine all of the various locations of Premier into one site. The groundbreaking took place at the 12 acre site near the corner of Dunlop Lane and Ted Crozier Sr. Boulevard.

According to the Chief Administrator for Premier, Lloyd Matson, construction on phase-1 of the new project will begin next month. That 54,000 square foot building will be two stories and will house Premier’s family medicine, internal medicine walk-in clinics, laboratory and imaging. The building is expected to be finished in early 2016 with an opening planned for March 1st.

Matson said the new facility will be a much nicer building because many the buildings now housing Premier sites are 20-plus years old. “It will so much more convenient for all of our patients, for walk-in and for family medicine,” said Matson.

The growth will continue shortly after Premier makes the move to the new facility in 2016 with phase-2 which will be another 50,000 square foot building. That facility will be home to the full pediatric department, the ENT physicians, general surgery physicians and OBGYN physicians.

After the new facilities are operational Premier will also be adding new specialties and new physicians. “What this will mean for our patients is whether it’s primary care or the specialty care we have in our group, we’re all going to be together in one location so all of our patients are going to be close to our services,” Matson said.

Information will soon be available so the public can follow the progress of Premier Medical Group’s new facility on their website at www.premierweb.com.
