ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A man in Albuquerque, New Mexico drove straight into trouble while trying to show off his hot new ride.

KOAT-TV reports 18-year-old Michael Johnson rode a stolen electric shopping cart this week to meet with his probation officer.

When the probation officer asked Johnson where he got his new set of wheels, court documents say he admitted to taking it from a Walmart.

Johnson was arrested and charged with larceny and receiving stolen property. He also violated his probation when he was arrested and was ordered held on a $500 bond.

Albuquerque police say the cart is worth more than $1,800.
