Meat Loaf books another Las Vegas run

Veteran rocker Meat Loaf is set for a return to the Las Vegas stage for a new concert residency, joining Britney Spears at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The “Bat Out of Hell” hitmaker performed an 18-date stint at the venue in the autumn and the RockTellz & CockTails gigs, in which he shared personal stories from his long career in between songs, were such a hit, he has signed up for more.

He says, “For me, the show is more than just another concert because the RockTellz & CockTails format allows me to add something different. I’m able to bring together music, acting and theater and do things you can’t normally do when you’re on the road. I get to have a lot of fun and it definitely shows.”

The new 24-date run will kick off on Feb. 13 and run until April 8.

Meat Loaf won’t be the only big name performer stationed at the Planet Hollywood venue – Spears kicked off her two-year Britney: Piece of Me residency at the same place on Dec. 27.
