Honda Motor Co. is recalling more than 405,000 vehicles to repair a glitch in the computer chip used in the airbag system. Most of the recalled vehicles are in the United States, where 318,683 Odysseys and 55,935 Acura MDXs are affected. A computer chip in the airbag control unit could malfunction when it receives electrical noise from other parts in the car, Honda said in a statement. As a result, driver and passenger seat airbags could deploy inadvertently.

Japan’s Suzuki Motor Co. is recalling 193,936 Grand Vitara SUVs and SX4s cars because of a defective air bag sensor mat in the front passenger seat. The recall covers Grand Vitaras from the 2006 through 2011 model years and the 2007 through 2011 SX4 small cars. Sensor mats measure passengers’ weight and determine if the air bag should deploy. Children can be hurt if the sensor cannot determine who is sitting in the seat. Suzuki will notify owners starting next month. Dealers will replace the mats for free.

Frigidaire is recalling some of its professional blenders because the blade shaft assembly can break, lacerating users.

Dorel Juvenile USA is recalling more than 89,000 child safety seats because labels showing how to install them could be wrong. The recall affects some Safety 1st Complete Air LX, Safety 1st Complete Air SE, Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite and Eddie Bauer Deluxe 3-in-1 convertible models. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says on its website that the rear-facing belt path installation arrows are wrong and could cause the seats to be installed incorrectly.

Children’s Place is recalling some of its footed pajamas for failing to meet federal flammability standards.

Waterlogic is recalling some of its water dispensers for malfunctioning, which could possibly cause them to overheat and catch fire.

The Land of Nod is recalling some of its children’s bed frames because they pose an entrapment hazard.
