Freddie Mercury Angry at AIDS

This Thursday, September 5th, would have been Freddie Mercury‘s 67th birthday. As a tie-in to the annual Freddie For a Day festivities, the makers of the Angry Birds game are having their Freddie Bird appear in a game, but not as a playable character. The Freddie For a Day tournament on Angry Birds Friends will be available to play on Facebook or your mobile device through Sunday. The goal is to raise awareness for The Mercury Phoenix Trust as part of the worldwide fight against AIDS. The tournament has a Freddie Mercury theme, with references to iconic songs shown in the level designs.

On Thursday night, the Freddie For a Day festivities in London will feature performances by Roger Daltrey, Melanie C and others.
