Nick Cannon, Women’s Day and Bacon! Three Trending Topics on Facebook

NICK CANNON reignited rumors that he’s going through some personal problems by releasing a bizarre new video. He even titled the profanity-laced video “Nick Cannon Goes Ncredibly Crazy.” Nick addressed the rumors, saying he was dressing in drag at 17 and that he turned down millions by leaving America’s Got Talent because he’s moving on to bigger and better things, like his mixtape. Nick said, “To be brilliant, to be a genius, to change the world, you have to be crazy” and compared himself to Albert Einstein, Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. Nick also fondled a blond puppet, pretending it was Nicki Minaj. (See here)

Today is International Women’s Day and a worldwide protest is being staged in what organizers call A Day Without a Woman. The aim is to call attention to injustices women face in the workplace such as lower wages, gender discrimination and sexual harassment. Organizers are calling on women to not work, whether their job is paid or unpaid. Women are also being asked to avoid shopping in stores and online except for local small businesses and women-owned companies that support the cause. If women can’t take the day off, they’re urged to wear the color red in a show of solidarity. (See post here)

Today’s everyday item that’s killing us is…bacon! Researchers say we’re eating too much salty foods and processed meats such as bacon, bologna and hot dogs and red meat including steaks and hamburgers; and gulping down too many sugary drinks. On the other hand, they say we don’t eat enough nuts and seeds, seafood rich in omega-3 fats, including salmon and sardines; fruits and vegetables; and whole grains. They warn that the combination is responsible for about 45 percent of the 700,000 annual deaths from heart disease, strokes and diabetes.
