CLARKSVILLE, TN − On Monday, the City of Clarksville began reopening First Street between Franklin and Commerce streets downtown.

This portion of First Street has been closed for an extended period due to construction of the City’s new, eight-story downtown parking garage. Final work on the new parking garage is nearing completion.

For now, the sidewalk running alongside the new parking garage will remain closed.

TRC Construction, contractor for the City parking garage, has confirmed an opening date of Oct. 30, for the new garage.
