80’s songs that stand the test of time!

Songs that stand the test of time!  That was the discussion over the dinner table with my 11 year old last night.  I asked what his favorite music is and he said, “Twenty One Pilots, The Killers, Maroon 5 and The Weeknd.”  I asked him, “do you think anyone will still be singing those songs 30-40 years from now?”  He then quickly responded with a big YES!  He may be right or he may be wrong!  No one knows the future!

Think back to the 80’s, we had the same opinion of my 11 year old.  There are die hard 80’s music lovers out there that listen to nothing but 80’s music.  Now think about our parents who got to grow up with groups and artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Elvis, Aerosmith, Elton John and sooooooo many more legendary groups and artists.  That’s legendary stuff!!

We had the luxury of also growing up with Aerosmith, Elton John, The Rolling Stones because they reinvented their styles and such to the 80’s.

This got me thinking about the songs from the 80’s that I absolutely love today…this is my Test of Time Playlist!

Feel free to add any songs!
