A Golden Girls reboot is in the works

I’m not sure how I feel about this since the Golden Girls are a classic show…Jane Lynch pitched a show to Netflix and she said they bought it!!!  Jane says, “I don’t know if I can even tell you, but it’s with Cyndi Lauper, so there! We’ll see.”

Jane also added, “I’m almost 60 and she’s 65, and we’re looking for our next act, without ever having had husbands or children. And there will be two other people who haven’t been cast yet. But it’s kind of a Golden Girls for today.”

Golden Girls, the NBC sitcom that spanned seven seasons, introduced four female characters of a certain age, played by Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty. It doesn’t sound like Lynch’s show is a direct remake of the franchise.
