LOS ANGELES - APRIL 21: Judy Blume makes an appearance at the 2012 Los Angeles Times Festival Of Books in Los Angeles, CA on April 21, 2012

“Are You There God? It’s me, Margaret” by Judy Blume will be made into a movie!

Book worms and movie lovers rejoice!  A favorite book will be turned into a movie!

Remember your teenage self?  Reading Are You There, God?  It’s Me Margaret on your bed after dinner or just before bed!  What a great book for the age group!  It dealt with some girl stuff that we didn’t quite yet understand in our young age!  Not only was that a great book, but the whole Fudge series too!

But this is a happy day for fans of Margaret!  Author Judy Blume has finally agreed to sell the film rights to her iconic novel.  Producers James L. Brooks’ Gracie Films, Kelly Fremon Craig bought the rights to turn the book into a movie.  Also, Lionsgate has committed to a green light on a film with a budget in the $30 million range.
