Jordan Dalton is the director of the Dawson Springs Youth League.  The community received many donations in ball bats, cleats, baseballs, softballs, pitching machines and things for the kids youth recreation leagues.

All of these things for the kids were being stored in a unit at Kings Mini Storage in Eddyville for free. Last week, Dalton went by and saw something was wrong.

The storage unit had been broken into, everything was gone. The lock was broken and it was all gone!  It was just a bare concrete floor and walls.”

Dalton said after the lock was broken on the unit, $14,000 in donated equipment was stolen.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department is now looking for leads.

To make a donation, reach the Dawson Springs Youth League at their Facebook page here.
