MLS Soccer match…a must experience!!!

So my weekend began with friends arriving from Atlanta on Friday!  My friends are HUGE Atlanta United fans…if you are not familiar, it’s a MLS Soccer team.  Kinda like the NFL or MLB level.

Something historic, Nashville now has a MLS Soccer team and the first ever MLS game was this weekend between Nashville and Atlanta.

We made plans wayyyyyyyyyyy back in November to go get together and go to the match!  My friends arrived on Friday and we took off Saturday afternoon for the game!  We booked the hotel months ago, so we were all checked into our respective hotel rooms…here’s mine…view and pretty swan!

So, we checked into the hotel and left for the tailgating in the parking lot parties before the match!  Think of college game day tailgating…that’s what it is like.  My friends are part of an Atlanta Support group to Atlanta United.  The group (which there are many support groups you can join)  they belong to has a big cookout, lots of games, beer and fun!  Meeting new people and a love for the sport is what it’s all about.  The veterans showed us newbies how it was done!  I can’t wait to join a support group for Nashville Soccer Club.  This was an awesome experience!

Here are some of my pics headed into the stadium…this is what all the Atlanta United support groups do while heading into the stadium to watch the match…

It’s amazing the way everyone comes together for the love of one sport!

All and all, what a great thing to do with your family & friends!  I would say this is one thing you should do during the soccer season!  Take a look at my pics!

My family and I are going to go back to a match and root on Nashville!  We will join a Nashville soccer support group!

My friend, Kevin, got my 11 year old a NSC jersey!  His love of Atlanta United, I can’t believe he spent money on Nashville gear!  LOL

We really had an amazing time and it’s super fun!
