“OK Boomer” sounds disrespectful! Just my opinion.

So, there we are sitting around the dinner table and my 10 year old starts talking about the “OK Boomer” memes.  I’m thinking to myself….”wow!  If I ever disrespected my elders that way, I’d be slapped silly, slapped into next week, slapped so hard, I’d need a haircut when I woke up!”

I suggested to him that it sounds disrespectful to me and that we should always treat our elders with respect!  They know things about history that are being written out of history books these days and have stories of the past that we may never hear!

Have you heard the “OK Boomer” catchphrase?  How does it rub you??

“OK Boomer” is the phrase that younger people drop when a baby boomer does something that’s condescending, out of touch, or destructive to the future of the planet and society.

Boomers really aren’t happy about younger people being condescending toward them, do ya blame them??

And now there are some companies sending a message that you could be fired for dropping it at work.

It comes down to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, that bans people from creating a hostile work environment over someone’s age  and “OK, boomer” qualifies.

Do you agree with this??
