There IS a script for The Goonies 2

In all this pandemic stuff, there is a light at the end of the tunnel!  A ray of hope for Goonies fans!!  Adam Goldberg says he wrote a script for the sequel, and believes it WILL happen.  That’s good news!!

There couldn’t be a better pick to write a Goonies sequel!  This is the guy that created “The Goldbergs”, which is basically just a love letter to the ’80s.  Plus, Adam a super huge fan of the 80’s since he grew up in the 80’s!

Adam Goldberg said he had a meeting scheduled with original director Richard Donner but it got canceled due to the coronavirus. Once everything returns to normal though, he PROMISES the movie will get made.
