Things to NOT do outside on a hot day!

Looks like it’s going to heat up here this week and hang around in the dog days of summer! Doctors are giving advice on how to beat the heat. “Huffington Post” asked doctors to share things they would never do when it’s hot out an here they are:

They wouldn’t just look at the air temperature – you should take the UV and heat indexes into account
They wouldn’t let themselves get thirsty
They wouldn’t use alcohol to quench their thirst
They wouldn’t stay outside at the hottest time of day
They wouldn’t remain in the sun without taking breaks
They wouldn’t forget bug and pest concerns
They wouldn’t skip sunblock
They wouldn’t ignore how certain medications react to heat and sun
